Women’s Ministry is designed to cultivate a beloved community of women to fulfill their vision of becoming Christ-followers who are being transformed into His likeness, reflecting God’s heart. An array of prayer times, outreach focused special events, Bible studies, workshops and one-on-one mentoring opportunities are the “tools” used to equip gals for life-changing growth and service. Look for information with regard to your unique interests at the Women’s Center located in the Commons area of the Community Life Center or by clicking on the links to the right.
One of the best ways to stay “in the know” about what is happening with Women’s Ministries is to read the newsletter. It has tons of information about upcoming events, stories of how God has been working through the women of SFB, and all the information you need about the myriad of great ministries that are offered to help you grow in your relationship with Christ.
Deaconesses are nominated and voted on by the congregation to serve for a term of three years. In their efforts to “serve one another in love” their ministry includes preparing the communion elements; sending letters, cards and flowers to shut ins; coordinating the Deaconess Prayer Chain and working with Baptismal candidates.
