Be A Part Of What God Is Doing At Salem First Baptist

At SFB we believe God designed His church to be made up of gifted individuals – all forming one body. It takes many uniquely gifted people for the body to function well. We hope to help you find your perfect fit within the body of SFB.

Becoming a part of the SFB Volunteer Team is a great way to use your gifts, passions and abilities. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities both here at SFB and in the community. You’ll find volunteering not only blesses others but you as well! You’ll get a sense of belonging, you’ll have fun and you’ll find God using you in ways you never imagined possible!

Please take a look at the different volunteer opportunities available and sign-up today. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 503-364-2285.

Landscape Ministry Team

This team cares for the grounds and parking areas of Salem FBC, keeping them clean and presentable, making a good visible impression to our community. Three separate teams are rotated through one-month work periods. Most activity is done on the church grounds on or close to the weekends, so the property looks fresh for Sundays.

This is a great opportunity to minister to the body and get to know other guys in the process! Please contact the team leaders for more information

Team leaders are Bruce Boatman, Tim Trahern and Larry Allen.

Helping Hands Ministry

A ministry of serving with your natural talents, abilities and gifts. Serving on this team provides practical demonstrations of love for the elderly, widows and those on low income. Activities are generally on demand, when the need arises and could include such things as auto mechanics, plumbing, electrical, yard maintenance, and painting. This ministry serves needy individuals both in and outside of Salem FBC.

If you have been blessed to be a blessing, registering your skill or ability and availability with ministry team coordinator Wayne Bernard.
