Life Events
In every family there are life events that are opportunities for celebration and some which include grief. Our church is ready to serve you in many of them which include, Baptism, Child Dedication, Weddings or Funerals. Check the information below and give us a call or send an email. Baptism
There are two reasons to be baptized: 1) to obey Jesus’ command and 2) to publicly proclaim personal faith in Jesus Christ and confirm our identity with him. Baptism always follows salvation and serves as a visual witness to others of our faith in Jesus Christ.
Child Dedication
It is Salem First Baptist’s tradition to offer Parent/Child Dedication services for infants. This is a special time of public ceremony and personal commitment when the parents promise to raise their child in the training and instruction of the Lord. Dedication services are held throughout the year on Sunday mornings during the Worship Service.
Weddings
If you have a wedding in your future we are happy to assist in the exciting event. A number of our pastors are trained to do pre-marital sessions and perform weddings. Funerals
A part of life is the sadness of death. Our church is ready to serve your family in this time of grief. Please call the church office at 503-364-2285, and we will get you in touch with a pastor as soon as possible.
