Child Dedication
It is Salem First Baptist’s tradition to offer Parent/Child Dedication services for infants. This is a special time of public ceremony and personal commitment when the parents promise to raise their child in the training and instruction of the Lord. Dedication services are held throughout the year on Sunday mornings during the Worship Service.
Baptism
Bonnie Buckner, Director of Children’s Ministries, facilitates a Children’s Baptism class several times throughout the year. Children are encouraged to participate in this class to learn about baptism and their newfound belief in Christ.
J.O.Y. Kids Choir
J.O.Y. Kids perform dramatic presentations 1-2 times per year and also enjoy singing in the worship services from time to time.
Sunday Mornings
Nursery and One Year Olds
A fun, save and nurturing environment for children 0 through 24 months is provided. The nursery is located in Room 208 and the walkers in Room 205. Parents will be given a vibrating pager so our trained staff can reach you during Sunday School or Worship Service if necessary.
Two Years through 5th Grade
Age-appropriate Bible teaching classes for 2 year olds through 5th grade. Two and three year olds remain in their same location for singing, Bible stories, and crafts from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m.
Upward Basketball
Salem First Baptist just finished hosting it’s seventh year of Upward Basketball! Registration for the 2011-2012 season begins in September! Upward Basketball aims to bring out “the winner” in every child – regardless of the game’s score.
Volunteer
Salem First Baptist would love to have you join the team of volunteers who help teach, guide and protect the children each time the body meets.
