My Vision

To help people think and live “Christianity” in a postmodern culture that rejects the notion of Absolute Truth

My Favorite Scripture

Romans 12:1-2 – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Worship Ministries

My Family

Married in 1998 to wife, Liz, daughters Ingrid and Gretchen and son Jonathan.

My Vision

1st Chronicles 25:7 says, “The were all trained in making music before the Lord, and each of them was an accomplished musician.” Our objective is to be a growing community of followers of Christ who are being transformed into His likeness and reshaping culture to reflect God’s heart.

The three thoughts I’m focused on are:

  1. To be a Growing Community that is expanding our understanding of worship as well as increasing in skill with our talents and abilities.
  2. Being transformed occurs best when we elevate God and constantly remind ourselves of how great He is. Understanding who He is and who we are in light of that, that we’ve been created with a purpose of honoring and glorifying our maker in everything we do, is at the heart of transformation.
  3. Reshaping culture to reflect God’s heart is a byproduct of authentic worship. Our worship on Sunday and throughout the week should stir us deeply to desire that we reflect God’s heart in our families, relationships, cities and beyond.

Leading worship is an incredible responsibility. I believe with all my heart that when we enter the Holy of Holies we are transformed forever. Praise be to the name of God forever and ever.

My Favorite Scripture

Colossians 3 – the whole thing.

Hobbies

Anything sports related, watching Disney movies with my kids. Writing music with my wife. Getting around people who have done more in life than I have. If I can grab a few moments of quiet I love to read but that doesn’t happen too often right now. Getting in the studio and jamming with some talented musicians is always good, too. Watching food network and trying to recreate the magical Bobby Flay!

A little-known fact

I played hockey for many years while growing up in Alaska

Amen.” (Amplified Version)
